The dreamed city: that´s what Rainer Maria Rilke called Ronda, the next big city, which is 25 minutes away by car. Here, Hemingway and Orson Welles left their mark, attracted by the shows in the famous bullring, one of the oldest in Spain. Jerez de la Frontera, the birthplace of Sherry, is about an hour´s drive east, as is Seville, with its impressive old town and its airport. If you add fifteen minutes more, you are in the Atlantic and its wild beaches or in the oldest city in Europe, Cádiz. If you move from Ronda in the other direction, towards the south, you will reach the Mediterranean and Marbella after an hour. The trip to Malaga (airport) takes approximately 1:45 hours.
